Cone Blender (Double cone blender) Cone Blender (Double cone blender) – Scientific Equipment The Double Cone Blender is an efficient and versatile machine for mixing dry powder and granules homogeneously. The effective volume for optimum homogeneity is between 35-70% of gross volume. Then double cone design eliminates dead sports, which occasionally occur in conventional double cone mixer. Double Cone Blender can be used for pharmaceutical, food, chemical and cosmetic products. It consists of two stainless steel cones welded with a cylindrical shell and having charging and discharging at opposite ends mounted on a channel stand. Drive is by means of an electric motor & reduction gear box through a center shaft. The cone is mounted on Plummer blocks for easy movement thereby ensuring through mixing. To facilitate easy movement of the cone while charging and discharging of the large units, a special inching arrangement is provided with the unit motor used are single phase.
