While it maintains the 44.25mm black ceramic aesthetic of its predecessor, this updated reference introduces significant horological and design upgrades. The most captivating new detail is the small seconds sub-dial at 9 o’clock, which now features a patent-pending Saturn V rocket hand crafted from Grade 5 titanium. This 3D rocket is meticulously shaped using laser turning and finished with white varnish and laser-blackening. This model is powered by the Calibre 3869, a manual-wind movement that has been elevated to Master Chronometer status. It is fully decorated with a laser-ablated lunar texture—the dial side showing the “Near Side” of the moon as seen from Earth, and the caseback side revealing the “Dark Side” only seen by astronauts. Compared to the previous generation, the moon texture is significantly more detailed and pronounced.
